Fair Haven Beach State Park

  • Fair Haven Beach State Park is located in upstate New York on the eastern portion of the Lake Ontario shoreline. It has one of the finest public lakefronts in upstate New York, with towering shoreline bluffs, sandy beaches and adjoining hilly woodlands. The park features 1500 feet of beautiful sand beach including 600 feet of guarded swim area.

Sterling Historical Society

  • Preserving and sharing the history of Fair Haven and the Town of Sterling. Lots of great resources and interesting content on their website. We are big fans of the Historical Society.
  • 1,400 acre site on the shore of Lake Ontario. Hiking trails, mountain biking and ski trails. Self-guided nature trails. Weekend programs.
  • Weekends in July and August. Re-creation of an English festival during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1585). Live theatre, music and dance, authentic jousting, games, rides, delicious food and drinks. All day fun!
  • They make all of their craft ciders by hand, starting with fresh-pressed, juice from 100% local juice, (Cayuga, Wayne and Oswego counties). The owners have done a great job with the place. It’s a wonderful addition to the village.
